Concerts at City University

City University, London, is fast becoming a hotspot for exciting new musical activity. This term has already seen a concert of electroacoustic music that included Bernard Parmegiani’s La Roue Ferris (1971). Next month Ian Pace will play a programme of piano sonatas composed composed in the immediate aftermath of World War II.

And tomorrow night Mark Knoop and Séverine Ballon play works for cello and piano by Mauro Lanza, Rebecca Saunders, Andrew Noble, Nicolaus Huber  and Bernd Alois Zimmermann:

Mauro Lanza – La bataille de Caresme et de Charnage for cello and piano (2012)
Rebecca Saunders – study – work in progress for solo cello (2012)
Andrew R Noble – you and me and the market makes three for solo cello (2012)
Nicolaus A Huber – Beds and Brackets for solo piano (1990)
Bernd Alois Zimmermann – Intercomunicazione for cello and piano (1967)

Free to attend, but please book in advance. Concert starts at 7pm.
