fracture/fissure presents new compositions challenging the capabilities of musicians and their instruments. This is a concert of dramatic, surprising and sometimes bizarre music exploring extremes of density and delicacy.

The concert celebrates a twenty-year performance history between Richard Barrett and ELISION and includes rarely heard works by James Dillon, Roger Redgate and a new composition by Aaron Cassidy. Virtuoso musicians Graeme Jennings (violin), Richard Haynes (clarinets), Peter Veale (oboe), and Séverine Ballon (‘cello) present unique performance practices, delivering authoritative interpretations of complex, unusual and challenging aesthetics developed in close collaboration with the
composer.
