Radio Rambler updated – seasonal special

Eagle-eyed readers will notice that I’ve recently updated the Radio Rambler playlist on Spotify. Some of the new tracks are related to my own current preoccupations, some are simply great music that doesn’t deserve to get buried in the madness that is the great celestial jukebox. And some of it I’ve thrown in for corny seasonal reasons. Hopefully there’s something in there for everyone. At just over two hours it’s the perfect accompaniment to any Christmas dinner:

Hans Abrahamsen – Schnee: Canon 1a, Ruhig Aber Beweglich
Aldo Clementi – Fantasia su roBErto FABbriCiAni
Iannis Xenakis – Tetras
James Clarke – Untitled No. 3
György Kurtág – Kafka-Fragmente, Part II: Der Wahre Weg, Hommage-Message à Pierre Boulez
Jonathan Cole – tss-k-haa
Donnacha Dennehy – Glamour Sleeper
Howard Skempton – Roundels of the Year
Elliott Carter – Symphony of Three Orchestras
Tristan Murail – Winter Fragments
Anthony Braxton – JMK 80 – CNF 7
Heinz Holliger – Schneewittchen: Epilog (Choral-Variationen)
James Saunders – #211007 (For Ensemble)
Henryk Górecki – Good Night: III. Lento – largo: dolcissimo – cantabilissimo

Miss any music previously featured on Radio Rambler? Don’t worry – there’s also an archive playlist of everything played so far, so you never need worry about that essential Gérard Pesson tune disappearing into the cloud.
